Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the EdgeOn platform, website, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service. EdgeOn reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
2. Description of Service
EdgeOn provides a global edge proxy and reverse proxy network powered by GeoDNS routing. The Service allows developers to connect their domains, route traffic through our edge servers, and optionally deploy Bridge software for reverse proxy functionality. EdgeOn does not guarantee any specific uptime, latency, or performance metrics during the beta phase.
3. User Accounts
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. EdgeOn may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in fraudulent activity.
4. Domain Management & Nameservers
By adding a domain to EdgeOn, you represent that you have the legal authority to manage that domain's DNS settings. When you update your domain's nameservers to point to EdgeOn, all DNS traffic for that domain will be routed through our network. EdgeOn is not responsible for DNS propagation delays or issues arising from incorrect nameserver configuration. You may remove your domain and revert nameservers at any time.
5. Proxy & Reverse Proxy Services
EdgeOn offers two routing modes: Direct Backend and Reverse Proxy (via Bridge software). You are responsible for correctly configuring your routing mode and ensuring compatibility with your origin server. EdgeOn does not inspect, modify, or store the content of proxied traffic except as necessary for caching and security features you have enabled.
6. Acceptable Use Policy
You may not use the Service to: distribute malware or phishing content; conduct DDoS attacks or other forms of network abuse; host or proxy illegal content under applicable law; violate intellectual property rights of others; engage in any activity that degrades the performance or security of the network for other users. EdgeOn reserves the right to suspend service to any domain violating this policy without prior notice.
7. Premium Plans & Payments
EdgeOn offers premium plans with additional features. All payments are processed through third-party payment processors. Subscriptions are billed monthly and may be canceled at any time. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods. EdgeOn reserves the right to change pricing with 30 days advance notice to existing subscribers.
8. Sponsorship & Donations
Sponsorship contributions are voluntary and do not constitute a purchase of specific services or features. Sponsor perks are provided at EdgeOn's discretion and may change over time. Sponsorship funds are used to develop and maintain EdgeOn infrastructure, including the planned Anycast IP deployment.
9. Intellectual Property
The EdgeOn platform, including its software, design, logos, and documentation, is the intellectual property of EdgeOn. You retain all rights to your own content and applications proxied through the Service. You grant EdgeOn a limited license to process your traffic as necessary to provide the Service.
10. Limitation of Liability
EdgeOn is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, EdgeOn shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using EdgeOn, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Termination
Either party may terminate the agreement at any time. Upon termination, you must revert your domain nameservers and discontinue use of the Bridge software. EdgeOn may retain anonymized, aggregated data for analytics purposes after account deletion.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which EdgeOn operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
