Last updated: February 22, 2026

1. Introduction

EdgeOn ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform, website, and related services. By using EdgeOn, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form). If you subscribe to a premium plan or sponsorship, we collect billing information through our payment processor.

Domain & Configuration Data

When you add domains to EdgeOn, we store your domain names, DNS configuration, proxy mode preferences, and related settings. This data is necessary to provide the Service.

Traffic & Usage Data

We collect anonymized traffic metrics including request counts, bandwidth usage, geographic distribution, and latency data. We do not inspect, store, or log the content of proxied requests.

Log & Security Data

Our security features generate logs including IP addresses of blocked threats, attack types, and timestamps. These logs are retained for security analysis and are automatically purged after 30 days.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to: provide, maintain, and improve the Service; route traffic through our edge network and apply your proxy configuration; detect and prevent security threats; send you service-related communications; process payments and manage subscriptions; generate anonymized analytics to improve our infrastructure.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with: payment processors (Stripe or similar) to process transactions; infrastructure providers necessary for the Service; law enforcement when required by law or to protect our rights. We use sub-processors that comply with applicable data protection laws.

5. Data Retention

Account data is retained as long as your account is active. Traffic metrics are retained in anonymized form indefinitely for analytics. Security logs are retained for 30 days. Upon account deletion, we remove your personal data within 30 days, though anonymized aggregate data may be retained.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), hashed passwords, access controls, and regular security audits. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to: access your personal data; correct inaccurate data; delete your account and associated data; export your configuration data; opt out of non-essential communications. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@edgeon.net or through your account settings.

8. Cookies & Tracking

EdgeOn uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels. Our analytics are based on server-side traffic data, not browser tracking.

9. International Data Transfers

As a global edge network, your traffic data may be processed in multiple geographic regions. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

10. Children's Privacy

EdgeOn is not directed at individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have collected data from a child, we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of EdgeOn after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
